Belarus by the end of 2015 to increase milk production to 10 million tonnes in milk equivalent, and exports will be increased 2-fold, to 6.5 million tonnes in milk equivalent, Prime Minister of Belarus Mikhail Myasnikovich at a meeting of the Council of Ministers of Tuesday in Minsk.
"By the end of 2015, we have to go to the volume of milk production for at least 10 million tons, and today we have only 6 million tons. For Belarus, it is a profitable business, but neither the Ministry of Agriculture, nor the regional executive committees, Minsk addition, there is nothing for this is not done" - M. Myasnikovich said.
Prime Minister noted that the yield on such production is necessary to create a powerful raw area, modern dairy farms, as well as enterprises of deep processing of milk with a wide range.
"To increase the export of 2-fold, to 6.5 million tonnes in milk equivalent, we need strong partners, and becomes a strategy, and keep 10% of world market supply can not be episodic. Must be powerful industry with its strategy," - said M.MOn noted that transnational corporations are interested in coming to Belarus, including in the agricultural sector, but the republic has to learn to build relationships with them, including - in matters of pricing for raw materials and finished products.
